Terms of Use

1. Who we are

Kignit is provided by the operator of Kignit (pending owner confirmation: legal owner name). Contact: support@kignit.online.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Kignit (pending owner confirmation: final minimum age). If you are a minor in your jurisdiction, you may use Kignit only with the consent of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms.

3. What Kignit is

Kignit is an educational app for learning and practicing guitar. It is not a substitute for a human teacher, and we make no promise about the musical results you will achieve. An account is optional; some features, such as song analysis, require one or use an anonymous device session.

4. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@kignit.online if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law or infringe the rights of others while using Kignit;
• probe, overload, disrupt, or circumvent the security or usage limits of the service, including analysis credit limits;
• reverse engineer the app except where the law permits it despite this term;
• resell or commercially exploit the service without our consent.

6. Songs you import and upload

Audio you import stays on your device unless you explicitly request a cloud analysis. You are responsible for the audio you import and upload, and you must have the necessary rights to use it for personal practice and analysis. The app requires you to confirm this before an upload.

By requesting an analysis you grant us the limited right to process the uploaded audio solely to produce your analysis. Uploaded audio is deleted after processing, as described in the Privacy Policy. You keep all rights you hold in your audio.

7. Analysis accuracy

Chord, key, tempo, and section detection is automated and approximate. Results are drafts to support your practice and may be wrong, incomplete, or unusable for some recordings. They are provided as-is, and capo and simpler-chord suggestions are aids, not authoritative transcriptions.

8. Kignit Pro

Kignit Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that includes:

• the complete learning path;
• premium learning content;
• one song analysis credit each month.

Billing. Subscriptions are offered as monthly or annual plans and are billed by Apple to your App Store account at the price shown in the app before you confirm the purchase. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Analysis credits. Pro includes one song analysis per month, on annual plans granted monthly as well. Unused monthly analyses do not carry over to the next month. If an analysis fails, or completes without producing any usable chords, the credit is returned automatically. We may also offer free introductory credits with their own limits; these are a courtesy and may change.

Canceling. Cancel any time in your Apple ID subscription settings (Settings, your name, Subscriptions on an iPhone, or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions). Canceling stops renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the paid period.

Restoring. If Pro is not recognized on a device, use Restore Purchases in the app while signed in to the same Apple Account that made the purchase.

Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple, and refund decisions for App Store purchases are made by Apple under its terms. Request refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com.

9. Availability and changes

Learning content works offline, but connected features, song analysis, purchases, and account sign-in depend on network availability and on our providers. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may impose or change usage limits to keep the service fair and sustainable. We are not liable for outages beyond our reasonable control.

10. Intellectual property

The Kignit app, website, curriculum, lesson content, and branding are owned by Kignit or its licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app for your own learning. You may not copy or redistribute curriculum content outside the app.

11. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Kignit at any time; see Delete Your Account for removing your data. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms, abuses usage limits, or creates risk for other users or the service. Where reasonable, we will warn you first. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 6, 10, 12, and 13) do so.

12. Disclaimers

Kignit is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that analysis results will be accurate.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of Kignit. Our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and USD 50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects statutory consumer rights you may hold, including rights arising from your App Store purchase.

14. Governing law

The governing-law jurisdiction for these terms has not yet been finalized (pending owner confirmation: business country and jurisdiction). Until it is, mandatory consumer protection law of your country of residence applies where required.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For significant changes we will give notice in the app or on this website before they take effect. Continuing to use Kignit after changes take effect means you accept them.
